6 Tips on How to Find Time for Writing in your Blog

Blog Writing Tips

Even though starting a blog is very easy, the hard part lies in maintaining it. We all have got so many things going on in our lives not mentioning the online world as well. Just as you prioritize the activities that take up your blogging time, you should also remember to set apart some time for blogging too. Remember, the more you continuously work on your blog, the more visitors, readers and followers you will get.

Below are various ideas on how you can get your groove back:

1. Get up early or sleep late

If you have a job that takes up a lot of your time, you might have to reconsider your sleeping hours. You will be surprised at how much you can achieve if you decide to optimize on your time accordingly. You can either choose to start or end your day by doing something that you really enjoy doing. You will certainly appreciate the fruits of your time when you blog like this for some time.

Remember to blog before doing anything else like checking your mails as this easily distract your thinking or flow of writing.

2. Write over lunch

As not everyone may be able to work with the late nights or early mornings routine, you could consider writing at lunch. Take your laptop or iPad to the park or coffee shop and write your thoughts down as best as you can. You will surely have plenty of time to think about it over the morning hours.

3. Disconnect from people

Once you go offline either from your mailbox, IM and other social media sites, you can get a few minutes or hours of distraction-free writing. This goes for your phone too and anything else that may prevent you from putting your thoughts down.

4. Make use of free apps

If you do not have a lot of time to update your blog, take a photo and briefly write a short post on it for your blog. Using the mobile to access your blog makes it more convenient for you to keep an updated blog wherever you are. You can also make notes of your ideas on these apps and later when you have the time, come up with a comprehensive blog to post on your site.

5. Determine where your passion lies

For you to ultimately express yourself while enjoying what you do, you need to blog about topics that you are passionate about. This will make it much easier to express yourself and you will also be motivated to come up with content every now and then.

6. Make use of your pen and paper

Even though it might sound like a lot of work, you can still go the old-fashioned way and use a notepad to note down some quick notes especially when you are away from the computer. Whenever an interesting thought or idea strikes you, this will be an easier way to recollect it if you are able to note it down for later.

Make sure you are able to account for your time at the end of the day and it will be fulfilling to know that are making time for a few important things every now and then.
