campaigns.<\/h3>\n<p>Social media is an entirely different beast.\u00a0 You can\u2019t approach it like you would anything else.\u00a0 You are probably used to putting your message out there and letting the public gobble it up.\u00a0 However, one-way communication won\u2019t work on <a href=\"http:\/\/36creative.com\/services-social-media-marketing.php\" target=\"_blank\">social media<\/a> \u2013 no matter how clever and insightful your message is.\u00a0 Interact with your followers.\u00a0 Ask some questions.\u00a0 Respond to their comments.\u00a0 Otherwise, if you aren\u2019t engaging with your followers, you might as well be yelling into space.<\/p>\n<h3> Giving up.<\/h3>\n<p>Building an audience takes time.\u00a0 Seeing a return on your investment takes even more time.\u00a0 After all,Romewasn\u2019t built in a day.\u00a0 So many business owners dive into social media with high expectations, only to give up because they are impatient.\u00a0 You might think it is a bummer to only have 100 followers.\u00a0 But think of this:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Who says those 100 followers aren\u2019t worthy of engaging, unique content?<\/li>\n<li>Gradually, you\u2019ll add more followers.\u00a0 Wouldn\u2019t it be great if those new fans could look back and benefit from a well-established history of activity?<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Being ignorant of your audience demographics.<\/h3>\n<p>Take time to determine your target audience.\u00a0 Then, dive head first into the social media platform that has the highest concentration of that audience.\u00a0 Otherwise, you\u2019ll be selling to an audience that doesn\u2019t want or need your product.\u00a0 You probably won\u2019t change their mind; therefore, you\u2019ll be wasting your precious resources alienating
